TeckFu

TeckFu is the art of mastering a skill in:

  • science
  • math
  • technology

The TeckFu Way states the following :

  • I pledge to respect myself by engaging only in actions which shall bring no harm to myself or to others
  • I pledge to use my critical thinking skills in all situations
  • I pledge to challenge myself to have a beginners mind, but to seek knowledge at every opportunity
  • I pledge to respect Science, Technology, and Mathematics by seeking to understand their mysteries, and through understanding, release my fear of the unknown
  • I pledge to remain true to my own culture and religion while believing there is room for science and reason to exist alongside my culture and religion
  • I pledge to believe that intelligence is not tied to race, gender, creed, but instead see intelligence as the output of my own hard work
  • I pledge share my knowledge with others in a positive way
  • I pledge to never let anyone tell me there is nothing I can't do. I can do anything if I put my mind to it
  • I pledge to believe there is nothing wrong with seeking knowledge, and will always support others who seek knowledge

TeckFu is a standard for measuring one's level of core competency in:

  • computer programming
  • computer networking
  • computer hardware repair
  • computer assembly
  • computer graphics
  • computer animation
  • digital audio production
  • digital video production
  • algebra
  • calculus
  • trigonometry
  • geometry
  • biology
  • chemistry
  • physics

Core Competency in TeckFu is measured by achievement degrees, by belt:

  • white
  • blue
  • green
  • yellow
  • red
  • brown
  • black

TeckFu bylaws are defined by the UNDIVIDES TeckFu Council, currently states the following bylaws:

  • A TeckFu Grand Master is one who achieves the highest level of achievement in each Core Competency of Math, Science, or Technology
  • A TeckFu Apprentice is any person who is seeking training by a TeckFu Dojo and who upholds the TeckFu Way
  • A TeckFu Dojo can be founded only by a TeckFu Grand Master
  • A TeckFu Dojo must have instructors who teach at the level of Master in one or more areas of Science, Math, or Technology
  • A TeckFu Dojo must hold belt certifications every month at which time any Dojo member may request to undergo a belt trial
  • All TeckFu skills, measurements of achievement, learning material, and core competencies must be published and made freely available via the Internet under a Creative Commons License
  • No TeckFu Dojo can discriminate bsed on creed, color, race, disability, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.
  • Any and all bylaws can be changed at will by the UNDIVIDES TeckFu Council, but all and any changes must be published openly via the Internet, and a best effort must be made to communicate changes to all Dojos, wherever they reside. No change shall in any way diminish or alter the achievements of a practitioner of TeckFu.
